Mike White

Dr. Michael White is a Professional Development Associate with The Leadership and Learning Center and the Director of Educational Consulting Services, an educational organization in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He is also the Research and Testing Director for Princeton City Schools, a large urban/suburban school district in Ohio, and a licensed pediatric psychologist.

Dr. White consults with school systems throughout the country on issues relating to standards-based instruction and assessment.  A strong advocate of “assessment as instruction,” he is the author of three books and numerous articles on standards, assessment, and effective schools.  His web-based teacher resource, Learning Connection Online, was the National Staff Development Council’s “Technology of the Year” award winner for 2003.

Dr. White earned his B.A. degree from Loyola University in Chicago in 1977 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern Illinois in 1984.

His presentations are the result of his work with small rural school districts, suburban school districts, and urban school districts throughout the country and are grounded in eighteen years of teaching and coaching experience.
